Robert E. “Bob” Snapp, 56, of rural Parsons, died at 4:55 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2006, at the Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born May 21, 1950, to Melvin Earl and Edith Joanne (Hadley) Snapp in Wichita, Kansas. He grew up and attended schools in Wichita and was a graduate of Wichita North High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge, he worked as a sheet metal mechanic. His hobbies included hunting, camping, four-wheeling and gardening. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
On May 24, 1985, he married Linda Johnson in Parsons. She preceded him in death on October 10, 2005.

He was also preceded in death by his father, Melvin Snapp.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 5, 2006, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont with military honors given by Brown-Bishop Post No. 704 Veterans of Foreign Wars. The family will receive friends at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2006. Memorials are suggested to the Robert E. Snapp Memorial Fund.
