Agnes L. "Aggie" Vanmiddlesworth, 93, of St. Paul, and former longtime resident of Parsons, passed away at 2:15 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
She was born August 23, 1922 in St. Paul, Kansas to Henry James and Genevieve M. (Crager) Fager. She grew up in St. Paul where she attended school and graduated from St. Francis Catholic High School. In 1945, Aggie worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant and in 1946 began her employment at the Hallmark Card Company.
On December 14, 1946, she and Johnny Vanmiddlesworth were married at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Manhattan, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1969.
From 1960-1979, she worked at Fred Ronald Manufacturing Company. In 1979, she began her employment at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center where she worked until retiring in 1989.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons and its Altar Society. Aggie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, embroidering, and watching sports, especially basketball.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, two sisters, one infant child, and one granddaughter.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the church. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
