Albert P. Olson, 81, of Mound Valley, died at 10:15 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011, at Elm Haven East Nursing Home in Parsons.
He was born November 18, 1930, in Angola, Kansas to Silas and Dorothy (Olmstead) Olson. He grew up and attended Angola Elementary School and was a graduate of Labette County Community High School in Altamont.
He served in the United States Army from February of 1952 to February of 1954. Following his honorable discharge, he worked at Boeing in Wichita, the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, and Dixon Manufacturing in Coffeyville until retiring.
He enjoyed farming, fishing and riding horses.
He and Edith M. Gwartney were married August 21, 1970, in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Terry Olson.
Following cremation, memorial graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2011, at Richland Cemetery near Angola.
