Albert I. Wilson, 75, of Wichita, died at 3:00 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wichita.

He was born June 5, 1938 in McPherson, Kansas to Levi Allison and Edith Helen (Nelson) Wilson. He was a graduate of Galesburg High School.

On March 3, 1962 he and Roberta Carson were married at the First Baptist Church in Parsons. Following marriage, they moved to Coronado, California while he was serving in the military. After his discharge, the family moved to Wichita where they had lived since 1968. She preceded him in death on March 18, 2013.

Through the years he had worked as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Wesley Medical Center and later at ResCare, both in Wichita.

In earlier years, he attended the United Methodist Church in Galesburg.

One Son – Wesley Wilson Wichita, KS
One Daughter – Lissa Downs and husband, Stuart Wichita, KS
Two Grandchildren – Jamie and MaKayla Downs
Three Sisters – Luxie Garretson Parsons, KS Arlis Fish Independence, KS
Debra Sue Finney Kentucky

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, and one daughter, Wanda Wilson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Galesburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. on Monday. The casket will be closed on Tuesday.
