Alfred Julian Campbell, Jr., of Katy, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, at the age of 76.
He was born on April 3, 1940, in Cameron, Missouri, to Alfred Julian Campbell, Sr. and Mabel Thompson Campbell. He was a 1958 graduate of Cameron High School.
He proudly served our country for three years in the U.S. Army, and then went on to a career in retail management. Alfred was a beloved brother, uncle, father and grandfather with an affectionate sense of humor and compassion. Alfred's greatest joy in life was spending time with his loving family. Alfred has resided close to family in Katy, Texas for the last four years.
He is survived by his sister, Leonace Jane Campbell Miller, of Baldwin, Kansas; daughter, Lisa Young of Katy, Texas; son, Dr. Merle Campbell of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Andrew Campbell, Emily Campbell, Wyatt Young and Cole Young; as well as other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Campbell in 1997.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Springhill Cemetery near Parsons. Friends may call at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., on Saturday.
