Alonzo Stephen "Steve" Carter, III, 47, of rural Edna, Kansas, passed away at 4:40 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2019, at his home.
Steve was born to Alonzo S. Carter, II, and Peggy (Malone) Carter, in Jacksonville, Florida on December 8, 1971. He grew up and attended schools in the Jacksonville area. Later he moved to the Coffeyville area and in 2004, he moved to rural Edna.
He had been employed at Elmore's IGA, Amazon and Star Pipe Foundry, all in Coffeyville. A very outgoing person, Steve's greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his children. He also enjoyed playing computer games.
On July 29, 2006, Steve married Tana Jean Kinser at her parents' home in Edna, Kansas. She survives of the home.

His father – Alonzo Stephen Carter, II, of Jacksonville, Florida
His in-laws – Gary and Pam Kinser of Edna, Kansas
One sister – Nicki Brown of Macclenny, Florida
He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Bedwell; and one brother, Tony Carter.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
