Alta A. "Tilly" Wolfe, 78, of Chetopa, passed away at 10:20 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Chetopa Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 3, 1937 in Parsons, Kansas to Willard and Lillian (Hoag) Davis. As a young girl, she grew up in Bartlett, Kansas. She attended schools in Chetopa where she graduated from Chetopa High School.
Through the years, she worked at Glenn Berry Manufacturing and the Old Mill Restaurant, both in Chetopa, and Walmart in Joplin. She enjoyed making quilts, watching television, and traveling.
She and Loyal O. Wolfe were married August 5, 1957 in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include:
Two Daughters – Tammy Wolfe Altamont, KS
Debra Wolfe Chetopa, KS
Three Grandsons – Justin Russell, Robert Boyd, III and Bradley Boyd
Seven Great-Grandchildren
One Sister – Alease "Sissy" Davis Raleigh, NC
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Willard Davis; and her mother, Lillian Houts.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. No services are planned at this time.
