Following high school, Amanda worked at Chetopa Manor and later earned an Associate's Degree. She had been the administrator for Oswego Home Place and was currently the administrator for Legacy Living in Baxter Springs. The elderly had a special place in Amanda's heart. She never met an older person that she didn't love.
Her family was the center of her life. She was an avid Chetopa Hornet's fan and never missed any of her children's and her nephew and niece, Blake and Emma's, games or activities. Amanda was a Chetopa Pacers 4-H leader, Chetopa Ag Booster officer, Chetopa Showteam Member and Project Prom organizer.
