Amber M. Hays, 31, of Parsons, passed away the afternoon of Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at her home. She was in good health and her death was unexpected.
She was born on January 16, 1990, to Bruce and Rebecca (Grillot) Hays in Fort Scott, Kansas. As a young girl, she grew up and attended schools in Parsons. She earned her GED and studied at Labette Community College.
She had worked at Parsons State Hospital and Training Center, Res Care and was currently employed at Pump-N-Petes.
Her greatest love in life was her son, Kristoffer. She also enjoyed Halloween and volunteering at the Forest of Insanity Haunted House. A wonderful mother, sister and friend, Amber was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Her son – Kristoffer Coppock of Neodesha, Kansas
Her fiancé – Jessie McGinnes of Parsons, Kansas
Three sisters – Ashly Hays, Abby Hays and Cassie Hays all of Parsons, Kansas
One brother – Jeremy Hays of Sedan, Kansas
Seven nephews
Two nieces
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Amber from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 3, 2021, at the Parsons Recreation Center.
Cremation is under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
