Amber K. Leake, 32, of Parsons, passed away at 4:43 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2015 in the Emergency Room at Labette Health.
She was born February 9, 1983 in Columbus, Kansas to Betty Faubion. She grew up and attended schools in Columbus, Parsons, and Iola. She lived with Betty Eckstrom while attending Iola High School. She graduated from high school in 2002.
On May 17, 2008, she and Joseph Leake were married in Parsons. Following their marriage, they lived in Parsons where she worked as a CNA and CMA for various home health organizations.
She was a member of the Parsons Nazarene Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends and her church family. She also enjoyed murder mysteries, spending time with her dog, Cinnamon, watching NASCAR, and was an avid Tony Stewart fan.

One Son – Tyler Joseph Leake of the home
One Daughter – Alexys Ann Leake of the home
Foster Mother – Rita Rettmann, who she considered to be her mother, of Parsons, KS
Grandparents – Larry and Barbara Troester Parsons, KS
Several Aunts and Uncles including Christy Stephens and Terry Troester
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
