Andrew E. Smith, 62, of Parsons, died at 2:15 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2009, at Labette Health.
He was born September 16, 1946, in East St. Louis, Illinois. He lived in the Kansas City area thirty years before moving to Parsons eight years ago.
While in Kansas City, he was employed as a chef at Three Friends restaurant. He also worked as a custom roofer and as an electrician.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, drawing, and in earlier years, was a singer in a band.
Survivors include numerous family members and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
