Anita L. Jameson-Middlebrook, 54, of Chetopa, died at 5:10 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg. She had been in failing health.

She was born April 13, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to Harry and Ida (Armstrong) Jameson. She attended Chetopa schools and also Clark's Business College.

She had lived in various locations and, through the years, had worked as a computer operator for the State of Kansas in Topeka and also in Ohio before she was forced to retire due to ill health.

She had attended church while living in Ohio and dearly loved her family and friends.

She and Anthony Middlebrook were married. He survives.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2010, at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience from noon until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. These may be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 346, Chetopa, KS 67336.
