Anita K. Myers, 63, of Parsons, died at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 31, 2007, at Labette Health. She had been in failing health for several years; however, death was unexpected.
She was born February 8, 1944, in Parsons to James D. Scott, Sr. and Clara B. (Malone) Scott. She grew up and attended schools in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School in 1962.
For a time, she lived in Wichita and New Orleans before returning to Parsons in 1983 where she had lived since.
Through the years, she worked at various convenience stores.
She and Larry F. Myers were married June 25, 1961, in Parsons. They later divorced.
She was a member of the Friendship Southern Baptist Church in Parsons.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 6, 2007, at the Friendship Southern Baptist Church in Parsons. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in West Bethany Cemetery.
