Anna C. Letcher, 87, formerly of Erie, passed away at 10:19 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2020, at the Galena Nursing Center in Galena, Kansas.
Anna Catherine McKinney was born on November 3, 1932, to William Lawrence and Emma Agnes (Thomas) McKinney in South Mound, Kansas. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in Erie. In 1950, she graduated from Erie High School
She and John Douglas Clapsaddle were married on April 2, 1951. He preceded her in death. On August 24, 1963, she married Wayne E. Letcher. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2016.
Throughout her life, Anna worked at various places, starting with the Erie restaurant. She also worked at the garment factories, Lee Manufacturing in Cherryvale and Brodericks in Parsons and also at Prest Lumber Company in Erie. For several years until her retirement, Anna worked at the register of deeds office at the Neosho County Courthouse.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Erie and the church's Altar Society. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She also enjoyed growing flowers and plants, bowling and sewing. Anna especially loved spending time with her dog, "Buddy."

Three sons - Bob Letcher (Mary Jo) of Gainesville, Texas
Richard Clapsaddle (Linda) of Leavenworth, Kansas
Don Clapsaddle (Debbie) of Erie, Kansas
Two daughters - Diana Adams of Joplin, Missouri
Debbie Landgren (David) of Parsons, Kansas
Twelve grandchildren
Twenty-one great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Douglas Clapsaddle; and her husband, Wayne E. Letcher, on November 1, 2016; and four brothers.
There will be a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2020, at St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Galesburg, Kansas. The family will receive friends 7 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
