Artie M. Martin

Artie M. Martin, 76, of Parsons, passed away at 8:23 a.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at her home.

She was born December 8, 1939 in Parsons, Kansas, the third-born of seven children, to Artemus and Adlene (Barton) Martin. Throughout her life, Artie lived in various care facilities including the most recent, ResCare Kansas Parsons.

Artie enjoyed going for rides, eating out, going to the workshop, shopping, beans and cornbread, fried chicken, and diet Dr. Pepper. She especially enjoyed spending time with her roommates and caregivers.

Her Guardian – Vonda Page and her husband, Wes, and daughters, Jennifer and Janelle
A host of friends

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2016 at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
