B. Nadine "Deany" Herridge, 87, of Chetopa, died at 6:25 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2011, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
She was born October 9, 1924, in Chetopa, Kansas, to George Willis and Bertha Alice (Turnbough) Kepford.
Following high school, she taught in a rural school before moving to Wichita where she worked as a lab tech at Wesley Hospital and also for Dr. Stewart, Dold Meat Processing, and Hertzler Clinic as a receptionist.
She and Lester Herridge were married July 15, 1944. They later divorced.
In 1997, she returned to Chetopa where she had lived since. While living in Chetopa, she attended the Community Bible Church.
Survivors include:
Two Sons – Michael Herridge Valley Center, KS
Joe Herridge Wichita, KS
One Daughter – Leslie Hirschfeld Mulvane, KS
Five Grandchildren
Six Great-Grandchildren
One Brother – Jesse Kepford Chetopa, KS
She was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters, one son, Richard Herridge; and a grandson, Aaron Hirschfeld.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 28, 2011, at the Community Bible Church in Chetopa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Community Bible Church in Chetopa. These may be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. 346, Chetopa, KS 67336.
