Barbara L. Boice, 86, of Parsons, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at her home.

Barbara Louise Mosler was born on July 13, 1938, to Ray Emmanuel and Marjorie Allene (Camper) Mosler in Parsons, Kansas.  She attended the Gore School in rural Oswego until 4th grade and then Pioneer School in Altamont, graduating from Labette County Community High School in 1955.  From 1988 to 1990, Barbara continued her education at Labette Community College.

Throughout the years, Barbara was a truck owner/operator, worked in a garment manufacturing plant and was a sales representative for Tupperware.  She lived in numerous places in her adulthood, returning to Parsons in 1979.

On October 24, 1956, she was united in marriage to Leonard Stewart in Long Beach, California.  The couple later divorced.  Barbara and Charles Edwin Boice were married on June 20, 1969, in Fort Worth, Texas.  The couple later divorced.

Survivors include:

Three daughters – Annabelle Perkins and her husband, Roger, of Wann, Oklahoma

Rogene Coleman of Kansas City, Missouri

Sherry Myers and her husband, David, of rural Parsons, Kansas

Five grandchildren

One sister – Donna Bruner of Parsons, Kansas

One brother – Gene Mosler of Grand Lake, Oklahoma

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in rural Oswego. Friends may stop by the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons to sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday.
