Barbara K. Wolke

Barbara K. Wolke, 64, of Parsons, died at 12:46 p.m., Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Labette Health. She had been in her usual health and death was not expected. She was born May 26, 1948, in Wichita, Kansas, to Jesse L. and Lois F. (Eckhardt) Rose. She grew up in Wichita where she attended schools. On December 23, 1966, she and Leonard G. Wolke were married in Wichita where they lived until moving to Parsons in 1981. Through the years, she worked at Cessna in Wichita, in the accounting department at Parsons Motors for 21 years, and as an insurance agent at Exchange Insurance in St. Paul until retiring. She attended Our Father's Vineyard in Parsons. She enjoyed crocheting, counted cross-stitch, reading and working crossword puzzles. She delighted in spending time with her adored grandson, Hunter, and attending his activities. Survivors include: One Son – Leonard G. Wolke, Jr. and his wife, Yalanda Galesburg, KS One Daughter – Tina Wolke of the home, rural Parsons, KS One Grandson – Hunter Wolke One Sister – Patricia Armitage Parsons, KS She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard G. Wolke, Sr., on September 25, 2008. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Private burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dennis. Memorials are suggested to an education fund for her grandson. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O.
