Becky G. Davis

Becky G. Davis, 62, of Altamont, passed away at 10:39 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2023, at Labette Health, Parsons.

Becky Gay Strickland was born October 27, 1960 to Jack and Bonnie (Best) Strickland. She grew up in Oswego and graduated from Oswego High School.

On June 29, 1984, she married Matthew Davis and shortly after they moved to rural Altamont where they still reside.

Becky worked various jobs throughout the years including Amazon and Labette County High School.

Becky will be remembered for her homecooked meals, over feeding her dogs and her hospitality to anyone who stopped to visit. Becky adored her grandchildren and her dogs, Chigger and Indy.

Survivors include:

Husband; Matthew Davis of Altamont, Kansas

Son – Mickey Plumlee (Miranda) of Altamont, Kansas

Daughter – Micha George of Altamont, Kansas

Grandchildren: Maddie and Mallory Plumlee, Braxton and Owen George

Sister – Rachel Harness (Billy) of Mound Valley, Kansas

Brother – Kevin Strickland of Oregon

Mother-in-law: Alice Davis of Oswego, Kansas

Numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a son, Darran Plumlee, in 2005; her parents; and stepfather, Jim Peoples.

There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery in rural Altamont.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
