Bethany Paige Gilliland

Bethany Paige Gilliland, 43, of Parsons, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at her home.

She was born on October 5, 1974 in Rome, New York to William "Bill" Gilliland and Sandra (Dobkins) Gilliland.  As a child, she moved with her family to Effingham, Kansas where she attended schools.  Bethany worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and had studied to become a Paramedic.  She later worked in in the fast food industry.  Most recently, she had been working as an assistant counselor at the Metro Treatment Clinic in Wichita.

She enjoyed playing the guitar, video games, listening to audio books, and working crossword puzzles.

In earlier years, she was active in 4-H where she showed steers.

One Son – A. J. Gilliland and his fiance' Karin Juarez          of Topeka

Her father – William "Bill: Gilliland and his wife Donna      of Holton, Kansas

Her mother – Sandra "Mickey" Gilliland                               of Marion, Iowa

One Sister Tracy Bradley and her husband Jeff                     of Marion, Iowa

She was preceded in death by both sets of Grandparents.

Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.  Burial of the cremains will be in the Oswego Cemetery at a later date.
