Betty J. Veto, 82, of Parsons, died at 9:20 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at the Parsons Good Samaritan Society.
She was born October 17, 1931 to Wayne A. Patchin and Vergie (Johnson) Patchin. She grew up in the Parsons area and attended McKinley Elementary School and Parsons High School. She worked in the cafeteria at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center from 1980 until retiring in 1993.
She enjoyed sewing and crafts. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty was first married to Leonard Rosenberg and they later divorced. She married Bruce Veto and they later divorced.

Barbara Todd Kimberling City, Missouri
Dorothy Black Boise, Idaho
Shirley Fowler Wichita, Kansas
She was preceded in death by one brother Sonny.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
