Beulah M. Olson, 96, of Oswego and formerly of Chetopa, passed away at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the Oswego Health and Rehab.
Beulah Mae Sharp was born on December 1, 1925, to Ira Lawrence and Martha Elsie (Schulze) Sharp in Terlton, Oklahoma. As a young girl, she grew up and attended schools in Oilton and Vinita, Oklahoma, until moving with her family to rural Chetopa, where she attended country schools.
On September 27, 1940, Beulah and Ross Jesse Olson were united in marriage in Cassville, Missouri. After getting married, the couple established their home in Chetopa. Beulah worked for Canard's Pecan Company for 42 years, retiring at age 82.
She attended the First Baptist Church of Chetopa. Her family was the center of her life. She also loved the outdoors, especially gardening and fishing. Cross-stitch and solving crossword puzzles were also favorite past times.

Two sons – Marvin Olson and his wife, Nettie, of Chetopa, Kansas
Ronnie Olson of Chetopa, Kansas
Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren
One great-great-great-grandchild
Two nieces
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Olson, on October 21, 1988; one son, Gary Olson; and one brother, Melvin Sharp.
A graveside service for Beulah Olson will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Oak Hill Cemetery at Chetopa. The family will receive friends 6 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Chetopa.
