Billy J. Anderson

Billy J. Anderson, 61, of Parsons, passed away at 10:40 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.

Billy Joe "BJ" Anderson was born on April 18, 1964, to Irene Anderson in Wichita, Kansas.

A genuinely sweet and loving man, BJ remembered every person who ever helped with his care.  He always had a smile and hug for anyone he met.  Some of his favorite things were wearing number shirts, drinking a 20 oz, Coke, having a little money in his pocket, taking out the trash, and bowling.  He also loved listening to Oldies music and watching movies featuring Ann Margaret.

His mother – Irene Hamilton of Haysville, Kansas

One brother – Richard Hamilton of Haysville, Kansas

Two sisters – Millie Coquette of Wichita, Kansas

Sheila Wheeler of Wichita, Kansas

Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews

His best friend and roommate – James DeShazer

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Raymond Hamilton.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m., June 6, 2025, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
