Blanche Mae Dobson, 62, of Altus, Oklahoma, formerly of Chetopa, died at 7:50 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. She had been in failing health.
She was born on April 26, 1944, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Rex and Lillie (Kinder) Davis. She was raised in the Chetopa area.
She worked at several food establishments in Pittsburg, Coffeyville, Arkansas City, Kansas and served as Food Service Manager in Clarendon, Texas, until she moved to Altus, Oklahoma. At that time, she became the Food Service Manager for Great Western Dining Food Service at Western Oklahoma State College until retirement.
On November 10, 1959, she and Charles E. Rickman were married in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1982. She and Floyd Dobson were married April 26, 1993, in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Charles E. Rickman.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2007, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa, Kansas. Burial will be in Ottawa Indian Cemetery, rural Miami, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2007, at the funeral home.
