Rev. Bobby G. "Bob" Robison, 77, of Parsons, died at his home at 10:55 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009. He had been in failing health for several months.
He was born October 6, 1932 at Omaha, Arkansas to Lee A. and Sarah M. (Besse) Robison. He grew up and attended schools there and graduated from High School at Omaha. He also attended Bartlesville Wesleyan College and Bethany Nazarene College. Bob served in the ministry for many years, first at the Wesleyan Church in Pea Ridge, Arkansas from 1954 to 1958. He then served as the pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene in Neosho, Missouri from 1958 to 1961 when they moved to Webb City, Missouri where he pastored for several years. Bob and Alma, served in various other churches for several years until moving to Parsons, Kansas in 1986 where they have lived since. Bob served as Associate Pastor at the First Church of the Nazarene until his retirement in 1996. He also was a chaplain at the Presbyterian Manor and Good Samaritan Nursing Homes for 13 years and at the Labette County Medical Center for 17 years.
Bob was bi-vocational much of his life along with pastoring. He was employed by various trucking companies, largely spending most of his time in military and government freight investigative work with Riss Trucking of Kansas City and Coast Countries of Glendale, California.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. He lived the life of a servant and a peacemaker. Bob brought out the best in all of us and taught us to be loving, grateful, gracious and peaceable.
He was married to Alma Colleen Goodale on June 30, 1951 at Blackwell, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.

Seven Grandchildren: Keri Mitchell, Lindsey Dermer, David McKellips, Morgan Spencer, Amanda Robison, Savanah Robison and Kyle Breedlove.
Two Great-granddaughters: Millie Ruth Dermer and Elliana Mitchell
One Sister: Olive Nadine Hill – Oswego, Kansas
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert Robison.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m, Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Parsons Church of the Nazarene. Graveside committal services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Oaks Cemetery near Bella Vista, Arkansas The family will receive friends at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday.
