Bonnie L. Hess, 78, of Altamont, passed away the morning of Thursday, November 14, 2024, at her home.
Bonnie Lenee Hase was born on September 25, 1946, to William and Ila (Brubaker) Hase in Ottawa, Kansas.
Bonnie was a loyal and caring individual. This was demonstrated for her working career. She worked for Osawatomie State Hospital for over 26 years, before working for Parsons State Hospital for 16 years. When Bonnie wasn't caring for her family or others, she enjoyed reading, shopping, crocheting, and watching KU basketball or Jeopardy.
Bonnie was married to Mike Kuder on June 25, 1965. To this union the couple had three children. The couple later divorced. Bonnie married Carl Hess on June 26, 1988 and were happily married until Carl's passing in 2017.
Survivors include:Two daughters – Kimberly Reed and her husband, Ray, of Richmond, Kansas
Robin Besser and her husband, John, of Mizpah, Minnesota
One son – Jeffrey Kuder and his wife, Lisa, of Osawatomie, Kansas
ten grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren
Two sisters – Connie Bunney of Altamont, Kansas and Ilene Streeter of Topeka, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hess; parents; sister, Willene Eckhardt.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, Parsons, Kansas. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
