Brent R. Austin

Brent R. Austin, 44, of Coffeyville, and formerly of Parsons, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 29, 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Gary A. Austin, Sr. and Theresa (Humphries) Austin. At the age of five, he moved with his family to Parsons where he attended Washington Elementary School, Parsons Middle School, and was a graduate of Parsons High School. Following high school, he worked various jobs in the Parsons area. He enjoyed yardwork and was an avid football fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma State Cowboys. Survivors include: One Son – Adrian Austin of the home One Daughter – Brakel Austin Neodesha, KS Parents – Theresa and Dean Wulf S. Coffeyville, OK Gary and Elaine Austin Dennis, KS Companion – Julie Garrison of the home One Sister – Kimi Holsinger and husband, Rick Parsons, KS Maternal Grandparents – Bud and Nita Humphries Beebe, AR He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary A. "Jay" Austin, Jr., on June 15, 2013. Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
