Brent Tyrone Berry, known as "Ty" to family and friends, passed away on June 9, 2024, in Ottawa, Kansas. He was born on April 3, 1966, in Parsons, Kansas, and grew up in Kansas City and Wichita. He graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 1984 and attended Kansas University for two years.

Tyrone was the beloved son of Brent A. and Ruby Berry of Olathe, Kansas. He was a proud and devoted father to his daughters, Layla Rae Berry of Detroit, Michigan, and Maya Bren Berry of Lawrence, Kansas. Tyrone is also survived by his brother, Devin Berry, who resides in Berkeley, California, and Northampton, Massachusetts.

Tyrone began his work life in the family businesses, The KarmelKorn Shoppes of Wichita, Kansas. For over a decade, he was a dedicated employee at the American Eagle Outfitters distribution center in Ottawa, Kansas. His career also included roles with UPS in Lenexa, Kansas, and as a physical trainer for Club Sport in San Ramon, California.

An avid sports fan, Tyrone had a lifelong passion for basketball and football, both of which he played from the age of seven. He was an avid reader, well-versed on many subjects, and enjoyed discussing politics with friends and family. He found great joy in attending car shows and had a deep appreciation for the automotive world. Tyrone also maintained a regular fitness routine, taking great pride in keeping himself physically fit and healthy. Despite his quiet and reserved nature, Tyrone's love for sports, cars, movies, politics, and fitness brought him much happiness and fulfillment throughout his life.

Ty's family and friends will always remember his strength, loyalty, resilience, and the quiet determination with which he approached life. His legacy lives on through his beloved daughters and the many lives he touched.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons, KS for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memories and condolences be shared in Brent Tyrone Berry's honor.
