Brian D. King, 36, of Porter, Texas, and formerly of Mound Valley, Kansas, passed away at 8:44 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2015 at ICON Hospital in Humble, Texas.
He was born November 25, 1978 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Gary D. and Linda M. (Cramer) King. He grew up in Mound Valley where he attended Mound Valley Grade School and Lincoln Elementary School in Parsons for one year. He completed school in Altamont.
In 2001, his family moved to Yantis, Texas. In 2014, his family moved to Porter, Texas, in the Houston area, where they have lived since.
As a young boy, he enjoyed fishing, playing kickball, and other activities. In earlier years, he attended the Mound Valley Christian Church.

Maternal Grandmother – Vera Cramer Mound Valley, KS
Paternal Grandfather – Glenn G. King Chetopa, KS
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John "J.L." Cramer; and his paternal grandmother, Mary Evelyn King.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Mound Valley Christian Church. Burial will be in Mound Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Mound Valley Christian Church.
