Brice Parker Moore, 54, of Altamont, Kansas, died at 9:45 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2014, after a lengthy illness, at Labette Health in Parsons, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 17, 1960 in Norman, Oklahoma to James A. and Virginia M. (Williams) Moore. As a young boy, he grew up in Ponca City where he attended elementary school and graduated from high school. In 1978, he moved to Seattle, Washington to be near his brother, Greg. While living in Seattle, he worked in customer service for Puget Sound Energy Company. In 1989, he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. After surgery & radiation he returned to work. He later moved to Bothell, Washington where he lived until 1999 at which time he took disability and moved to Oklahoma to be near his brother Todd and his wife, Joy. He moved to Altamont in 2008 to be near his mother and stepfather. He enjoyed OU football, golf, hiking, basketball, and was an avid Seattle Seahawks football fan. He also loved to travel extensively. Brice touched many lives both before and after his illness. His laughter and his devotion to helping others never changed. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Virginia and Harold Wenzel, Altamont, KS; his father Jim Moore and wife, Debbie, Minneapolis, MN two brothers, Greg Alan Moore, Sequim, WA, and Todd Allison Moore, Ponca City, OK; a sister Margie Black, two nieces and one nephew, Jacksonville, FL. including Jessica Black-Webster, who was a very special friend to Brice. The family would like to thank the many health care providers that helped Brice thru the years. He considered all of you friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to New Life Clothing and More. These may be left at or mailed to Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 325, Altamont, KS 67330.
