"Buddy" James L. Boudreaux, 52, of Parsons, passed away at 7:13 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018 in the Emergency Room at Labette Health.
He was born October 16, 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas to Aaron Allen and Jane Louise (Bates) Boudreaux. As a young child, he moved with his family to Chetopa, Kansas where he grew up, attended school, and graduated from Chetopa High School.
For a time, he worked at the Buckboard Café in Chetopa. After high school, he moved to Parsons where he worked at Grandview Products and Elm Haven Nursing Home for several years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Quapaw, Oklahoma. He was also a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Parsons and the Sunflower CBers. Buddy served as a volunteer firefighter for Labette County Fire District No. 9. As a young boy, he enjoyed playing baseball and in later years loved to fish.
He and Merinda L. Russell were married May 17, 2002 in Parsons. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his father, one grandson, R. J. Wilson; and a nephew, Shawn Boudreaux.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. A brief service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
