"Butch" Evans, 67, of Parsons, went to be with the Lord at 9:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at his home.
He was born November 30, 1947 in Parsons, Kansas to James Paul and Marian Rosalie (Mael) Evans. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in Parsons. In 1970, he attended Job Corps for heavy equipment training. He worked in construction all of his adult life for various companies in the area. From 1990 until his retirement, Butch was employed at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant.
He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Parsons. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, camping, fishing, scrapping, and was an avid professional wrestling fan.
He and Helen E. Crater were married April 3, 1977 in Parsons. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert "Sonny" Evans and Edward "Lee" Evans; and three sisters, Viva Price, Dot Addis, and Judy Salyers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in East Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
