Carmen Lou Spielbusch, 76, of St. Paul, died at 4:45 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Labette County Medical Center Emergency Room. Her death was unexpected.
She was born June 23, 1930 at St. Paul to Fred and Carmen (Lancaster) Born. She grew up and attended school in St. Paul and graduated from High School there in 1948. Following school, she was married to William H. "Bill" Spielbusch on September 1, 1948 at St. Paul. He survives of the home.
She and her husband farmed in the rural St. Paul area. She enjoyed sewing and doing other handwork. She also enjoyed cooking and hunting deer. She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul and had taught religion for many years. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Altar Society. She also worked at the thrift shop in St. Paul.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2007 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Paul. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the church. The family will receive friends following the Rosary.
