Carolyn J. Cartright, 55, of Parsons, died at 10:10 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Labette Health. She had been in failing health.
She was born July 20, 1955, in Independence, Kansas, to John Dale and Beverly (Seymore) Muller. She grew up and attended school in Independence before moving to Parsons with her family where she attended McKinley Elementary. The family then relocated to California for a time before returning to Parsons.
Through the years she worked at Grandview Products, the Townsman Motel and Canterbury Inn before becoming disabled.
She had attended the Church of the Nazarene in Parsons. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and fishing.
She and Larry E. Yunker were married. They later divorced. In 1972, she and William "Bill" Cartright were married in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.

Following cremation, committal services will be announced by Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery.
