Carolyn F. Harris

Carolyn Faye Harris, 60, of Olathe, and formerly of Parsons, passed away at 10:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the home of her son, Jamie Harris, in Olathe. She was born October 6, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to mother, Marzetta (Darkis) Harris, and father, James Harris. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Parsons where she attended Douglass Elementary School, McKinley Elementary School, Parsons Jr. High School, and Parsons Sr. High School. Carolyn was a dedicated employee of Boeing in Wichita where she was an assembly line worker. She loved outings with her friends and family. Like her mother, she enjoyed reading love stories, westerns, black documentaries, and novels. Carolyn was a real daddy's girl. She was well liked by many and a fun person to be around. She lived life to the fullest and cherished her family. Surviving loved ones include: Her children - Angela Harris Atlanta, GA LeRoy Nelson, III Pittsburg, KS Israel Harris Olathe, KS Krystal Harris Evansville, IN Cornelius Harris Evansville, IN Jerry Dulin, II Parsons, KS Sheika Dulin Evansville, IN Twenty-One Grandchildren Two Great-Grandchildren Three Sisters – Maureen Burton CA Candace Harris Parsons, KS Sandra Harris Wichita, KS She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Leona Harrell and Pamela Harris. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, 405 Main, in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time, on Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. A Celebration of Life gathering will be hosted by Carolyn's family from 7:30 p.m.-midnight, on Saturday, at the V.F.W., 105 Main Street, in Parsons.
