Cecilia A. (Potter) Asher, 75, of Parsons, passed away at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Parsons.
She was born October 25, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri to Cecil O. Potter, Sr. and Mary C. (Shireman) Potter. She grew up and attended schools in Joplin and Carl Junction, Missouri.
While living in Chanute, she worked in sewing factories before moving to Parsons in 2007.
She was Catholic. Cecilia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and counted cross-stitch.
She and William L. Asher, Sr. were married. They later divorced.
Survivors include one son, William L. Asher, Jr. of Parsons; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother, Cecil O. Potter, Jr. of Illinois; and one sister, Glenna M. Potter, of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Potter.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. No services are scheduled at this time.
