Charles F. Oliver, Jr., 68, of Parsons, passed away the morning of Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Labette Health.
Charles Fred Oliver, Jr., was born on September 25, 1956, to Charles Fred and Claudette (Holland) Oliver in Coco, Florida. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Parsons and later to Waterbury, Connecticut. While attending Wendall Cross High School, Charles played basketball.
A few years after graduating from Wendall Cross High School, Charles relocated to Parsons. He worked in construction and often made repairs for the elderly free of charge. He enjoyed spending time with and helping elderly people.
Playing Dominos and cards and watching the Kansas City Chiefs were some of Charles' favorite pastimes.

His wife – Brenda Oliver of Wichita, Kansas
His mother – Claudette Oliver of Parsons, Kansas
Two brothers – Dewey Oliver and his wife, Carmen, of Waterbury, Connecticut
Stacy Oliver of Norton, Kansas
Two nephews – Michael Todd Oliver of Waterbury, Connecticut; and Brenton Oliver of Oklahoma
One Niece – Jackie Oliver
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Fred Oliver, Sr. and one sister, Jacqualine Marie Oliver.
The Celebration of Life for Charles will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Parsons Senior Citizens Center.
