Charles Mcarthur Perry, 79, of Parsons, passed away at 8:53 PM, Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Labette Health, Parsons, KS following an illness.
Charles was born September 30, 1943, in Allison, MI. His parents were General Pershing (John) and Mary Irene (Frazier) Perry. He returned to Oswego in 1982, after living awhile in Indiana and Oklahoma.
He attended the Assembly of God in Oswego. He liked fixing broken things, especially enjoyed working on washing machines and dryers.
He retired from Grandview Cabinet Manufacturing, Parsons, after working there for several years.
Charles was married to Evelyn Wertz on October 10, 1965, in Oswego, KS. She passed away on January 16, 2018.
Surviving are two sons, Dale Perry (Tessa), Humboldt, KS, and John Perry (Crystal), Dennis, KS; one daughter, Melissa Smith (Michael), Parsons, KS; Eleven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen and is under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons. No services are planned at this time. Memorials can be made to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Homes to help offset final expenses. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.
