Charles, Jr. "Skeeter" Rickman, 48, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away December 12, 2008, at the home of his aunt in Coffeyville, Kansas, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born July 11, 1960, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Charles Eugene and Blanche Mae (Davis) Rickman. He grew up in rural Welch, Oklahoma, and graduated from Welch High School in 1978.
He married Kellie Bullard in 1984. They later divorced. On September 5, 2003, he married Martha Plata of Chesapeake, Virginia.
He loved to fish, hunt, golf and travel. For years, he was active with Chetopa summer league baseball and served as umpire. Charles was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at the Ottawa Indian Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Monday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
