Charles A. "Charlie" Stangle, 67, of Parsons, passed away at 8:27 a.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society in Parsons.
He was born on September 12, 1953, to Junior C. and Theresa Vernice (Whetzel) Stangle in Parsons. As a young boy, he grew up in Sherman City and Parsons area, attending McKinley Grade School in Parsons.
Over the years, Charlie worked for area farmers. He also worked for Ralph DeCow building trailers and for J.P.'s Golf mowing and doing repair work.
He enjoyed fishing, working on his Ford tractor and cutting and selling wood.
Survivors include:
One brother – Tim Stangle of Parsons, Kansas
One sister – Carolyn Stangle of Parsons, Kansas
Two nieces and two nephews
Several great nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Treva Joan Stangle.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Dennis. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
