Charles M. "Charlie" Bozic, 56, of Parsons, passed away at 10:19 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin, MO.
He was born on March 5, 1963, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Charles John and Charmian Cecilia "CeCe" (Lord) Bozic. Growing up in Kansas City, Charlie moved to Pittsburg, Kansas, in 1984. He moved to the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center in 1986 and lived on Ash Cottage. In 2016 he moved to his current home in the community.
A favorite activity for Charlie was to go to Braum's to eat ice cream. He loved "sodee pop." He enjoyed listening to polka music and singing nursery rhymes with his favorite song being "Rubber Ducky". A big sports fan, he especially enjoyed watching the KU Jayhawks and going to Royals games. Charlie attended St. Patrick Catholic Church and participated in the Sunbelt Special Rodeo.
He was an ornery trickster who won everyone's heart. Never afraid to use his charisma to get what he wanted, Charlie was spoiled rotten and he knew it.
