Cheryl A. Curnutte, 77, of Columbus, formerly of Mound Valley, Kansas, passed away at 9:56 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Autumn Place, Columbus, Kansas.
Cheryl Ann Blair was born on October 13, 1947, to Isaac N. and Bernice P. (Roberts) Blair in Independence, Kansas. She grew up and attended school in Independence, graduating from Independence High School in 1965.
For 50 plus years, Cheryl owned and operated Cheryl's Beauty Shop.
Cheryl was a member of the Christian Church of Mound Valley. She loved spending time with her family.
On October 22, 1965, Cheryl and Kenneth Wayne Curnutte, Sr. were united in marriage in Independence, Kansas
Survivors include:
One son – Kenneth W. Curnutte, Jr. and his wife, Kyra, of Mound Valley, Kansas
Two daughters – Teresa Perkins, of Mound Valley, Kansas
Kim Pease and her husband, Jeff, of Altamont, Kansas
Five grandchildren – Kassia Bolden, Hunter Green, Haley Green, Kolten Curnutte, and Kade Curnutte
Three great-grandchildren – Blake and Riley Bolden; and Hadley Sutton
One sister – Debbie Blair of Mound Valley, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Larry and Merle Blair, and one sister, Joyce Gaddis.
The graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
