Cheryl Cristine Hazen

Cheryl C. Hazen, 67, of rural Parsons, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at her home.

Cheryl Cristine Lytle was born on April 7, 1956, to Harold and Virginia (Ermey) Lytle in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Caring for others was at the center of Cheryl's life.  Over the years, Cheryl worked in various positions in the Parsons area, including as a technician at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center, a mental health peer supporter at the Labette Center for Mental Health, a technician at Parsons Pet Hospital and a medical technician with the ambulance service out of Oswego.

She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Parsons.  While working at the Parsons Pet Hospital, Cheryl participated in B.A.R.K.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her daughter.  She also loved spending time outside in nature and with animals.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Bill Cole, of Parsons, Kansas; and one brother, Mike Lytle.

She was preceded in death her parents; and one brother, William "Bill" Lytle.

The graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2023, at Lakeview Cemetery in Erie.  Services are in the care of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
