Clifford Keaton

Clifford "Red" Keaton, 86, of Parsons, Kansas, formerly of Ozark, Arkansas, died at 1:35 a.m., Friday, May 23, 2008, at Parsons Presbyterian Manor where he had resided the past month.

He was born September 29, 1921, in Mulberry, Arkansas, to James Francis and Allie (Shores) Keaton. He grew up in the Mulberry-Fern-Ozark, Arkansas, area where he attended schools.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1943. Following his discharge, he returned to the Ozark area where he worked as a truck driver, logger and commercial fisherman.

He was a member of the American Legion in Ozark. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by one brother.
