Cynthia L. Edwards

Cynthia L. Edwards, 60, of Parsons, passed away at 9:02 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017 in the Emergency Room at Labette Health.

She was born February 17, 1957 in Independence, Kansas to Alfred Edwards and Martha Mack. As a young girl, she grew up in Parsons where she graduated from Parsons High School.

After high school, Cynthia worked in Parsons at various restaurants and the Canterbury Inn before moving to Topeka. While living in Topeka, she worked at restaurants before returning to Parsons where she worked at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center.

Cynthia enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends, and cooking.

Six Grandchildren

One Great-Granddaughter and one on the way

One Sister – Carol Griffin                                          Kansas City, KS

Stepsister – Sandra Kelly                                            Topeka, KS

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons where the family will receive friends immediately following the service.
