Dale G. Bamberry, 76, of Altamont, went to be with his Lord at 6:45 a.m., Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born November 26, 1935, in rural Parsons, Kansas to George and LaVon Catherine (Siesser) Bamberry. He grew up and attended Henderson Country School southwest of Parsons and was a 1955 graduate of Labette County Community High School in Altamont. While attending high school and shortly thereafter, he worked for Wyman Baugher at Baugher Farms.
Throughout his adult life, he farmed, did local custom combining and worked at Coffeyville Livestock Auction from 1972 through 2000. He also had worked at Fredonia Livestock Auction eight years, and Parsons Livestock Auction six years. He was well known in the community for raising Duroc hogs.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altamont and, as a young man, had attended Hopewell Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Big Hill Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting raccoons, deer and pheasant.
He and Edna P. Myers were married August 6, 1960 in Altamont. She survives of the home.

Four Great-Grandchildren – Bailey Hester, Nevaeh Smith, Tre Weimer and Shyann Hester
Twin Brother – Donald Bamberry Florida
Aunt - Margaret Bamberry Altamont, KS
Five Nephews – Randy, Richard, Gerald, Stan and David Bamberry
Three Nieces – Tracy Bamberry, Linda Wooten and Jan Slinkard
He was preceded in death by one brother, George "Keith" Bamberry; much loved daughter-in-law, Paula Bamberry in 2004; and two very special nephews, Zeb and Justin Wonser in 2001.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Altamont. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery near Dennis.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the First Baptist Church in Altamont.
