Daniel D. "Danny" Vail, 47, of Valeda, died at 7:30 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2007, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg following a brief illness.
He was born September 28, 1959, in Parsons, Kansas, to Raymond Eugene and Carol Sue (Engler) Vail. He grew up in the Mound Valley area where he attended Angola Elementary School and later graduated from Labette County High School in 1977. He was a truck driver most of his adult life.
He and Gayle McElroy had been together since May 1993. She survives of the home.
He enjoyed working on and driving trucks. He especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren and his little buddy, Dalton. He was a member of the Angola United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Vail, on June 10, 2007.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2007, at the Angola United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery in Angola. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2007, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
