Danny L. Castle

Danny L. Castle, 81, of Chetopa, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023, at his residence.

Danny Leroy Castle was born at home on October 2, 1941, to Leroy and Elsie (Jarrett) Castle in Chetopa, Kansas.  He grew up, attending and graduating from Chetopa High School.

He was a truck driver by profession, but a jack of all trades. This led to a love of woodworking throughout his life.

In 1983, Danny turned his life over to his Lord and Savior. Danny would passionately testify about his love of the Lord and would encourage others to find Him. Danny was a member of the Community Bible Church in Chetopa where he served as a trustee for 20 years.  He was a loving father and husband who was always willing to help. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially cherished time with his grandchildren. He loved to watch them play sports. He was extremely proud of his whole family.

On April 12, 1979, Danny and Geraldine Pugh were united in marriage in Miami, OK.  She survives of the home.

He is also survived by:

Four daughters – Tammy Bushong and her husband, Lee, of Chetopa, Kansas;

Tina Martin and her husband, Kenny, of Faucett, Missouri;

Anita Ahrens of Morenci, Arizona;

Jamie Ann Freeman and her husband, Marvin, of Dyersburg, Tennessee

One son – Tim Castle and his wife, Kelly, of Lake Wells, Florida;

23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; Randall Bradley and Stewart Bradley, grandson; Camden Castle, two brothers; Joe Arthur Castle and Raymond David Castle.

The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Community Bible Church in Chetopa.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa.  The family will receive friends Monday, September 11, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Community Bible Church, Chetopa.
