Danny L. Harris, 50, of Parsons, died at 7:45 a.m., Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Elmhaven East Nursing Home in Parsons.
He was born September 28, 1962, in Arlington, Texas, to Elbert L. and Lucinda M. (Wort) Harris. At the age of five, he moved with his family to Parsons where he grew up and attended Meadow View Grade School and was a graduate of Labette County High School in Altamont.
Following high school, he attended Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa where he received his pilot's license. He then continued his education at the University of Kansas and Labette Community College. At the age of 26, Danny was injured in an automobile accident.
He was raised in the Southern Baptist Church and was a member of the Tri-State Faith Center in Parsons. He enjoyed flying, sports, and was an avid KU Jayhawk fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in McCune Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
