David M. Blaich, 79, of Parsons, passed away at 5:20 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2023, at Labette Health.
David Michael Blaich was born on March 3, 1943, to Lewis and Margaret (Stevenson) Blaich in Parsons. He grew up and attended school in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School in 1961.
For 43 years, David worked for Bushog in Galesburg, from where he retired. For a time, he also owned and operated the Pig Pen BBQ catering truck.
He loved spending time with his family. Always looking for a bargain, David enjoyed wheeling and dealing and going to garage sales.
On September 12, 1986, David and Renita G. Rathfon were united in marriage in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.

Two sons – David V. Blaich of Chetopa, Kansas
Landon Woodward and his wife, Amy, of Neodesha, Kansas
Three grandchildren – Mary Wagoner, Brock Kirby and Emma Woodward
Four great-grandchildren – Lydia Kirby, Flynn Kirby, Mia Kirby, and Veya Kirby
One brother – Larry Blaich and his wife, Sharon, of Parsons, Kansas
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sharon Bentz.
No service has been planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons.
